Aso & Kusasenri (Kumamoto Prefecture)

Located in Kumamoto Prefecture, Mount Aso is one of the world's largest active volcanoes, known for its vast caldera and dynamic natural scenery.

Depending on volcanic activity conditions, visitors may be able to observe the crater up close and experience its powerful landscape firsthand.

At the foot of the mountain, Kusasenri is a wide grassland dotted with ponds and grazing horses, offering a peaceful contrast to the strength of the volcano and making it one of Kumamoto's most iconic sightseeing spots.
